Letters from Japan

These are my impressions of life in Japan so far, letters I've sent my email group about life in the most foreign of countries. These have been very lightly edited to protect the guilty and some names have been changed, since who knows who might be nosing around the internet these days. I've also tossed in a few emails I've sent out to individuals (more heavily edited, of course). These messages are marked with asterisks('*').

April 21, 2003 — Just got a visit from some Japanese Jehovah's Witnesses.

I've got to remember to keep that can of God-Be-Gone spray by the door. I think we've done more damage to the Japanese with the Witnesses, Adventists, and Mormons than with the atomic bombs.
